Well, there's been some weird happenings with my guestbook. I used to use the guestbook server at Lpage.com until 29th of June 1996. In mid June 1996, they changed the whole system (new software setup) and also deleted the whole database, so all my entries were gone!I was a little miffed, and although I temporarily registered on their new system, I set about writing my own guestbook program which I have done and is now in action.
It means faster speeds, not having to worry if Lpage.com is down, and what's more.... most importantly... I don't have to worry about someone deciding to remove my guestbook entries!!!
I transfered the one entry which had been made in Lpage's new system, but everything in the old guestbook is, alas, gone. If you signed it before, please do so again if you drop by!
Lastly, if you want the software I wrote for your own guestbook, e-mail me. It's in pretty messy hacked up perl (well, I'm not a really messy programmer, so it's only messy by my standards! I know people who'd consider it nicely formatted, organised, etc. =) so you'll almost certainly need to make some alterations.
